So... since some of us here are attending the same university, I thought this would be relevant?
How are your finals going? I've noticed the whole campus is overcome by an eerie quiet as everybody is actually now studying for finals, and walking (somewhat slower than normal, I think) to and from them.
I don't know if it was this way last semester, but the finals this semester seem to be physically exhausting.
COM200 final went well, it was mostly just a section exam which was nice. Shortly afterward I started shaking though, not sure why. Just a little shake, mostly in the wrist. It hasn't yet gone away, and I think...
the ENG321 (grammars) final made it worse, luckily I had an awesome study group, and we made a huge (40+ pages) collection of our notes and pre-diagrammed sentences that could be on the test, so it was mostly a matter of looking up that which I didn't understand.
It's definitely time for a nap though.

No wonder you sounded exhausted on DA! I hope your wrist is doing better... =(
My day was wake up, pack (started today 2 hours away at home) frantically tried to get English papers (turned in at 2 today) finished and printed, along with a website done at the same time. I fail, so I take the laptop, hoping that I've transferred everything that I need. I do everything I can to conserve battery (as it only lasts about 2 hours at best now), which means typing with the lowest brightness setting in a car, so I get a lot of glare while racing against the battery and time in general.
I get to school with everything typed, upload the webpage (which was shoddy =P) tried printing my papers with probably ten minutes left to compile them when I run out of paper. Luckily I have more and I staple them together and rush off towards the English building. I look for my teacher and she ain't there. Instead she has a box outside her door to take the papers, with the deadline being an hour later than what I thought it was (which was strange as I was already on an extension). I linger, trying to figure out if I was supposed to talk to the teacher.
I get back with a little less than an hour to ready myself for the Chinese final I had. I get distracted and start talking to my roomate (she has a women's studies class and is pretty much writing the exact opposite of what the prompts want her to write). By the time I'm done, I have around 30 minutes left. ...My mom calls. Once I'm off, (5 minutes, maybe?) I study what little I can, around 1/4 of the material I meant to even go over, and run to class.
...I get a 45/50 on my final. I can't tell you how happy I am. XD;
And you can tell that I've been wanting to tell people about this. XDD

Congrats on getting a good grade on your Chinese final! I'm feeling a lot better after a few hours of nap, so now it's just a matter of reviewing for the German, Photography and Journalism finals on Wednesday, cleaning my room, selling my books, and maybe a few other things.
I should probably start some of the cleaning now, but I do have all tomorrow, so I could go either way I suppose.

I'm going to clean like mad tonight. I only have three tests this semester, one of which (Japanese) is over, and my Comm final is total cake. I am concerned about my online VisComm final though; the midterm was hideous, and I'm afraid this will be too. My main problems have all been projects. I had to finish up a research paper, go back and edit a bunch of old papers for my crazy Honors English class, finish the website, and make a greeting card in Illustrator. On top of that I have either allergies or a cold; I can't figure which, but either way I have some minor congestion, a bit of a cough, and some major fatigue. Oh, and it's that time of month, too. Yay. -_- So, yeah, I'm sorry I haven't been on here much, guys. I'll be back up and running and starting work on the comic in a couple days, after I get some sleep. Oh! And the pottery place I though I was going to work at is actually closing. Permanently! I'm sooo bummed out about it. I love that place. This Sunday is the last day to get stuff fired. So if you're a Prescottonian, this is your last chance to enjoy Girl Talk before it disappears. I'll be there on Friday afternoon finishing up that Fruits Basket plate of mine, which looks like it will be the last of my bamboo/anime themed dishware. *sniff* Such suckitudee!

Oh man! That sucks! Do you have another job lined up?
It totally sucks about how you've been feeling. It seems like everyone I know has been sick. Me, my BF, his sister, my boss, you. Just not a good week. I'm glad you're feeling better and making it through finals.

I have one possible job packing boxes, though it does have the advantage of letting me work with Haruo. I probably won't get to work on pages, though.
Thank you for your kind words. It's true I've been sick, but I also haven't pulled out of Finals Week Panic mode even though my last final was late last night. Maybe the fact that I still have to pack up my entire room has something to do with it, though I'm also a little weirded out that I've got so many B's when usually I have a lot of A's. *shrug* I guess I'll get over it, but it is still an uncomfortable transition.

That would be fun, working with a friend. I've been watching a lot of people tearing out their hair over Finals. Is this your first year in college? I went completely the other way. I had a c- / d average in high school, and maintained like a 3.98 in college. My advisor figured I wasn't challenged enough in high school. I figured it was because I never showed up for class.

I made it home! That was a much-too-long test in and of itself, moving that is.
It turns out that I brought way too much stuff to the university (why would I have needed two extra internal hard disc drives, 6 and 40 gigs respectively?) and I probably acquired too many things from Surplus Sales while I was there too. It was all I could do to prevent myself coming home with a nice (decade-old) LaserWriter, or computer monitor, or computer speakers, or something else of that nature! (Surplus + Cory = loads of fun.)
My other finals (the three on Wednesday) weren't too bad. German I didn't study enough for, Photo was done in less than 20 minutes, and Journalism went slowly, but i was fairly confident of myself.
Over the summer I may seek employment, or I may sit around and learn CS3, take photos of the desert, work on aM+hM, and ride my bicycle or something.
I'm at home now, and I realize just how much I enjoy the whole thing about being in a room without another person, or how much I appreciate a desk that moves if I need it to. I'll have to take pictures of this room soon, it's pretty bare, but it's nice and the chair is significantly better than the ones in the dorms.
Unfortunately, I can't just run over to the School of Comm openlab if I need/want a scanner, and I can't run to Java if I want to meet someone or get a random smoothie.
Yum, random smoothies. (Luckily I'm living on campus nextyear, I'm fairly certain.)
Well... at any rate, I should probably stop typing this message now. (doo dee doo.)

Ugh, moving out was a mess for me too.
While I didn't bring nearly as much superflous stuff as my roommate or you, I did have a bunch of really lame drawings from art assignments I had over the course fo the semester I had to ditch. I don't know about you, but I'm not inclined to keep drawings of cardboard boxes, thank you very much. As for moving out, I was so frazzled by the end of finals that I didn't really get around to organizing or cleaning before the parental units showed up. Which meant that both of them were very unhappy with me when they did show up on Thursday morning. Yet amazingly, we started a little before eleven and got me checked out of the dorm room a little after 1. We took the same ammount of time as the girls across the hall who had packed up mostly before reading week (aka the week before finals). Yay for packing in garbage bags!
Then I remembered the $350+ dining dollars I had. For those of you who do not go to the university Cory, Haruo and I do, dining dollars are part of the meal plan that allow you to buy food items that are not on the list of meal ticket foods. I started the year with $500, and had a hard time using them because after eating meal ticket foods I didn't really want to eat much else, much less the junk food available through dining dollars. My mom came upon the birlliant idea of just stockpiling the junk food, but after hitting the coffee shop and cleaning out their supply of brownies and rice krispie treats, we discovered all the convienence stores on campus had alrerady closed for the summer! It was two in the afternoon on the last freakin' day of finals, and most people weren't leaving until Friday morning or later! Gaah, I'm still mad about it. And I'm not the only one who donated money to the school against her will, either; another girl with just as much money in dining dollars was almost in tears from the ordeal.
What a scam.
I do second the happiness of having a private room. Ah, how I missed it. And the dogs. And the real food, as opposed to the sub-par, grosser-than-McDonald's school food. And being able to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night without being blasted by florescent lights. And having my own shower.
...I don't want to stay on campus next semester, can you tell? XD

I do want to stay on campus next semester, but I think I'm going to do maybe do more off-campus eating, not sure. I didn't buy a mealplan, just the dining dollars, which I am already somewhat regretting. My parental came at about 10 and we were checked out a bit after 1. Though I would've been ready at about 11:40. My checkout was actually scheduled for 11:10 but I was too in denial about the state of my room. I left with like $8 still on my naucard/dining, I was unhappy because I could have gotten chocolate milk, or some bottled water. Ohwell.

Actually, you probably couldn't have, unless you went to Java. That was pretty much the only thing open! >.< And you're not one to talk; I left with $250 on MY card. Now THAT hurts.
Off-campus eating = MOST DEF.

That really sucks that they closed early; I've said it once and again. I still wanted to buy foodstuff with mine. Then again, at least I managed to have less on my card. Sorry Poofie... It feels like they were trying to stop people from buying all of their stuff at the end. It feels kind of underhanded since they do force us to buy a mealplan in our first year. =( Not again, thank goodness. =) As for the job, I'm less sure on it right now. I think main priority is getting me to drive now. We just never got back to them, so I wouldn't be surprised if the positions are filled. If I remember, I'll try and call them tomorrow. Much sorry again. ; ...I might have a chance at tutoring Mandrin Chinese, as I actually found someone that is going to China and wants their kids to learn some simple stuff. ...If all else fails, housesitting for all! Off campus eating is good. Applesauce, Biff's, and the Brewery for the win. =) Tired now, I's sleep *flops over*

oh, your family is doing the "you need a driver license" thing too? My mother outright told me the biggest thing I'd be doing this summer would be to get a license, which I suppose is okay if it makes other things easier. I should start riding my bicycle or something, see how fast/far I can go without dying.

I really want to learn how to drive so I can get a car and go places without having to ask people. The roads are too dangerous (aka small roads, speeding cars) from my place, so I can't get anywhere. Problem is, the only car I am really around that she is also around is a fairly large van. Very hard to manuver in comparison with a small car.
Your family is doing that too? Didn't know I knew so many people who don't drive yet! I found another in my Chinese class a few weeks back. XD;
How will you know how fast you go? o.o

Well, it's a certain distance from here to where I want to be, so I'll just time myself I suppose. Of course, with a car, I wouldn't have any incentive to go bicycle riding. Hmm... I should get the bicycle over here and get a helmet (maybe?!) before I get an automobile, or learn to drive. Oh, also big vehicles aren't too bad, I drove dad's F-150 around town a year or two back when I had a permit, it wasn't too bad, as long as it's an automatic transmission. XD
