Not exactly a band... a cartoon series. Bleh I'm so bad at voice acting it's going to be a pain.
Ow... the pain of empty Cheetos.

Oh wow. I wish I was really creative and ambitious like you guys. Poofie and Snipes have webcomics, you have cartoons. I do occasional art, and unfinished stories. I'm pretty much just a performer who does what others create.
*throws a balloon inflated with stale tire-air at Venom* Don't pop it! It'll be really stinky!

Well.... I wish I had paitence and motivation. I have a REALLY hard time commiting myself to my work. I don't know what it is, and it really bothers me, I wish I would just start "doing it", but something makes me stop. UGHH *suicide*.
Music and Internet also keeps me distracted. So in a way I don't want to have Internet access at my cabin, so I can easily bring myself to animate all summer (not while I'm working!)

I find the internet infinitely distracting too. That's why I'll unplug the ethernet cable when I need to work.
Oh my god.
I just realized...
I intended to unplug the ethernet today so I could work...and unplugged the phone instead. XDDD I worked for like 6 hours on that paper not realizing that I actually COULD connec to the internet! And I was connected to the shared iTunes network too. You'd think that would have been a big hint right there. XD

Wow you're right... that's a great idea. Next time I want to force myself do work, I'm going to take out the LAN line and hide it. Or make someone else hide it (it goes through a big hole in my wall.. a big 5" hole!).
That's funny... but since you thought couldn't use the Internet, why try?
I am so going to do this from now on, thanks for the idea.
Edit: I found a way to expand on that idea! I'm going to make a seperate "work" account, and put ONLY a few programs on it. That way there's no Internet, music, games, chatting or any other muses to distract me. Maybe now I can get something done.

Interesting idea! Still, I'd have to have music in my work account if I made one. I go crazy without music. ^^;

Yeah. Music makes it all bearable. Good idea with the account, though.

I made the account, but I don't know how to limit and disable things on it! I wish I could make it all magically not show anything other than what I want to show. I'm sure there's a way to do it..... no help from Google though.

It's been my experience that when you create the account, you are given the option of creating a new desktop/start menu, or accessing a common one. At least, that's what I've discovered.

Yeah... I think that's through the Documents and Settings folder, where personal settings are applied (like wall paper, themes, sound effects etc) but that's as far as I could get. GAHH I am so evily tempted by all the things to do on the computer.

If you're running Windows XP, it gives you an option when you make a new account. Administrator or limited. Limited should let you do what you want.
Unfortunately, some of my work involves the internet, so I can't just shut it off.

Yeah, I've had that "I need the internet!" crisis before, too, particularly when working on my computer imaging assignments. The book we're using sucks, so I resort to internet tutorials much of the time. However, I've learned that I can avoid distraction when writing papers if I save the pages to my desktop before I start writing, then unplug the ethernet. Works pretty well...so long as you actually unplug the ethernet. XD

I've seen the Limited thing before, but it just tells me that it can't install anything new or modify computer settings. I don't see anything about making things poof away! Did I not see something? Ughhh.
I mean I could always will my self to "not use them" but it doesn't help any. Either I put on a song or put up an Internet page. It's like I lose control of my mouse. Games don't really distract me that much, so it might work if I ask someone to hide the cable to my computer.

The evil side of me is ready to just give into temptation without even trying to quit messing around. My boss is being horrible and unreasonable right now, and that makes it so hard to care that I'm getting things done right. Besides, it's hard to concentrate on work at 11.00 at night when you're in your PJs and drinking wine.

Yes I know what that feels like, and that really sucks about your boss. They always seem to be like that at times, it's like something they all learn at boss university or something. Reminds me of where I was working last year. Oh man... I had the most ridiculously stupid co-workers on the face of the planet, they were worried about the most unimportant things, and it felt that one of their primary goals was to work as little as possible without getting fired. I'm going back to the same place again and I hope they aren't there. At least I'll get to see a really awesome person named Erik, he is my best friend there.
