I haven't messed with Frontpage, but Haruo despises it. She calls it a "wanna-be program", and goes on to explain that Frontpage is to Dreamweaver and GoLive what Publisher is to InDesign. But meh, some people like it easy, and aren't complete detail and control freaks like Haruo and I. *shrug*
Oh, yeah, I went to your website over the weekend and started reading "Spikey Haired Dragon, Worthless Knight." Very entertaining!

It's already sounding pretty bad *throws CD*. I've never even used it before, but I might pop it in out of curiosity. My DVD-CD drive is on it's last legs though. I got this thing less than a year ago and already it has trouble reading certain discs, stopping in DVDs and not recongizing some things at all! I don't want to buy a new one right now because I'm already spent too much fixing what shouldn't be failing on my computer... and other things. My opitcal mouse stopped working (wires inside must have decayed or SOMETHING), the monitor I used before just "stopped". My video card also failed because of dust buildup near the heatsinks and air ducts. I'm going into corner and sobbing, and hope nothing else randomly fails.
I already took a look at some of the Web comic links on her site, though I haven't gotten into any yet, I just looked through them all but will start reading them all, oh look at all that time I get to waste.

Poofie, when 25 Cent Hero gets up and running, let me know your addy. I want to add it to the list.
When I have the paitience to mess with it, I'd like to switch that plain text to banners. It just looks so dull at the moment.

Oh, your poor sick compy! I remember my mom's DVD-R drive stopped working because of some random photo software that installed itself, but if yours is behaving sporadically, it does sound like the hardware itself is dying. In fact, it's behaving quite like my old PS2 when it went senile.
Ah, I'll have to do banners eventually, too.

It's always struck me as weird that some electronics give up the ghost fairly early while others just go and go and go. One of my CD-Roms is from my old compy and is about ten or eleven years old now. I think it's only 24x. My other is a CD-RW 48x read, but the older one works much better. I really only use the newer one for writing.

I guess they're making them less sturdy and more advanced, that's the only thing I can think of. Sometimes the brand does it in as well, mine's currently a "Plextor" but has only lasted... like 10 months. Remind me to never buy from them again.

Never buy from Plextor again. The brand alone sounds fishy. O.o
This conversation reminds me of a movie I saw not too long ago called "Kinky Boots". Anyway, the protagonist, a traditional shoemaker, has this conversation at one point with a shoe seller. The seller hands the protagonist a shoe and lists the ridiculous price it goes for. The protagonist bends the shoe, and says, "Are you kidding me? The poor sod who buys these will be back in ten months for new ones." The seller then taps his nose and says, "Exactly."
Even though they were talking about shoes, I think the principle is the same. Since electronics have become so cheap to manufacture, the companies are presuming they can make more money by making you buy the same product as consumable one instead.

How true, also reminds me of people who aren't taught any preserving quality of their product unless it endangers them. Like not telling people to push the button to close the CD drive again instead of forcing it in. Those JERKS.

Yes, it IS Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy! I just got into the show last week, but I'm hooked. Mandy's the main reason I watch it though. She's so evil
Yeah, it's irritating how they overlook that kind of basic care. They've even stopped telling people how to take care of CDs. I found a very old CD of my Grandpa's that actually had detailed care instructions in the leaflet, and it promised that if you took care of it you could enjoy it for years. Modern CDs never even tell you to rest them label side down, and it shows in how my friends take care of their CDs. *twitch*

Not as much overlooked as it is much as "plzbuyagnkthnks". There needs to be more laws governing advertising and manufacturing. Too many loopholes and misleading statements. Like for example, the world "quickcharger" was given to a battery charger years ago because it was the fastest for its time. 8 hours. Now that's kind of slow in this day, but they are still allowed to call them that. See what I mean?

I like that you translated it into satirical chatspeak. XD
Yeah, there are all kinds of problems with capitalism and advertising. Have you ever read John Berger's book Ways of Seeing? He's got a chapter on advertising and publicity that's absolutely fascinating.

I'll definitely go to the library and pick it up then, I would like to read that. What's the book mainly about?
