Someone called an artist "worthless" and was reported for it. Apparently DA said it wasn't in violation of the policy, even though the policy says "No direct insults of the artist." Sad, really.
I'm not much of a fan art person, but I had a blast doing that one!

I did fanart for many years because, while I loved to draw, I didn't really want any of my originals out on the web. Fanart provided me a good outlet. Still, it makes it rather surprising then that I'm doing a webcomic of all things. :/ It's a bit of a leap of faith. I guess I finally realized I'm too unknown right now to make me a likely victim for art theives. XD

I suppose it depends on how you define art-thievery. I did see a good definition online, I think it was on dA, I forgot where though. I'm sure you'll be fine though, especially if you put the appropriate copyright notices on your pages.
BTW, I also smiled at that fanart.

Yeah, and after I finish each chapter, I'm doing good old poor man's copyright too, just to be safe.
