Sooo...I just put up some very odd sketches to test my skills at first/previous/next/last links, and I'd like to know what you guys think of them. Here they are: So, yeah. Questions? Comments? Rooms with Moose? Please, do tell!

Is this the simplified armour design? It's very nice! I like the character designs, and it seems like you have an excellent grip on them. The figures all seem to be consistent between the sketches.
Could you share some pointers on that? At a friend's suggestion, I'd like to try a small comic with two anthro characters, but I'm concerned about consistency. How do you get them to match so well?

I agree! You do have a pretty good consistancy. The flowiness of the hair's brilliant, too ^___^
Consistancy can be a pain x.x Who knows what a face looks like when you turn it 10 degrees over from the last picture?!

If you're talking about the consistency in the coloring tests, I cheated. I took the same image and copy-pased it. >.<;;; If you're refering to consistency between the pieces in general, well...I don't really know. ^^; It's weird; sometimes I just gel with Regolith and can turn her out in a fingersnap, and she looks great, but Natalie gives me issues, and then on other days Natalie is a cinch and Regolith gives me issues. I'm sure this will show once I actually start doing pages. ^^; At any rate, I've been drawing them on virtually every surface for the past like two months, so that's helped. That also helped me simplify Reg's armor effectively.
And I'm glad the curls are working. I actually find them a little easier to draw in action than when still, because it pulls them open a bit.
Anything else? Really, I'd like to know.
By the way, I'm going to outline the whole comic, or at least the first couple story arcs, tomorrow and get on the script later this week. That means that next monday miiight be the first page. No guarantees, but it might be. It partially depends on how often my mom drags me onto WoW. XD

I was speaking of overall consistency. I think they look wonderful! I like Regolith's simplified armour. It looks more practical and realistic.

It's a good thing it makes more sense; it's easier to draw!
And thank you very much on the consistency issue. Got any hard-core critiquing to give me? I know my hands and feet in general suck...Anything else that's just off?

The only hard-core critique I have to contribute is on Bleedman's character. The upper hand on the lollipop looks like the thumb is on the bottom. I'd hold the staff much more comfortably with my thumb on top. It would give more control over the shaft.
That's really the only issue I can see.

Ah, I see what you mean. I don't think it's physically possible for a hand to go that way! I recall intending it to go the way you described, but my skill with hands really is just that bad. >.< Ah well; that'll change with time and my artistic steroids...I mean, the webcomic.

Webcomics.... steroids for your art, eh? They look good, and of course, not knowing anything about artistic-anything, I can't really offer much in the way of critique, unfortunately. I'm glad to see that 25CH is coming together!

Yes, STEROIDS. Well, I'm transferring my outline from sticky-notes to Word, and will soon commence scripting and finishing the coloring tests. Once the coloring tests are finished, I'll put them up and tell you which coloring form I'm actually using to give you a sense of what it'll REALLY look like. Then it's scripting time.

Okay, I absolutely had to try it. The dog is now cowering under the kitchen table, because I was attempting to wield a Swiffer floor duster with the hand reversed. It is physically possible, but movement is severely encumbered. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

Wolf, that literally made me laugh! That's so awesome. I still don't think I intended the hand to look like it went that way (though honestly, I can't remember), but it's still cool you did it anyway.
That reminds me of back when we had hardwood floors. My dad would get out this duck, which was on the end of a long stick. It had wheels with rubber flaps for feet. He'd wheel it around in one hand and push the swiffer in the other when we cleaned and the dogs would go crazy chasing that duck. It was hilarious!

I'm amazed my dog is still relatively normal. I mean, living with me is going to tear the fiber of anyone's sanity.
Hehe! Your dad sounds awesome! I am all about non-traumatic pet tormenting!

My dad is definitely entertaining. You'd probably like him--he writes music as a hobby. Though, on the other hand, while he claims his pet tormenting is non-traumatic, some of his games have left Fizzy a little...jumpy.
